And now for a special segment of "What's New"

1/1/08

Many of you may have seen the OutdoorEquipmentSupplier LLC label on the front page. Yes, it is official, I am now the owner of OutdoorEquipmentSupplier LLC and this means for some exciting changes for the company. I am now working overtime on a few new projects, which will be released in the near future, as well as keeping busy fulfilling orders. I have seen a record amount of custom orders, as well as some great new ideas for tarps, so I am keeping busy with everything.

The MacCat Gen 3.5 are also coming along, with gradual improvements in manufacturing techniques and materials to reduce the weight further. Coming very soon.

In other news, I am also getting closer and closer to being able to attend Trail days 2008, so let's hope that everything works out and I can see everyone there!

I have begun the process of streamlining my email system and making it so that every email gets relied to within hours, not days. I stand by my commitment to my company, and am currently making some pretty big organizational and legal changes to the way my business operates. Nothing is changing on the product side, although availability should be increased as some of these changes take effect! I appreciate all of the support many of you have emailed me with recently, and I hope to increase both my stock and designs of some new products soon to come. I also have some new ideas to cut the weight of my current tarps again. Generation 4 MacCat anyone?

As well, I am now really hoping to attend Trail Days 2008 this coming summer as well, given that the date has been announced and so has my finals schedule. Tight fit? Yes. Doable? You bet. I would love to meet everyone whom I have gotten to know electronically over the past 3 years! More details to come as I find them out!

5/17/07

I have begun to work full time on getting as many tarps completed per week as possible. I also want to thank everyone for their kind support over the last two semesters; I made Dean's list at the U of Rochester for both semesters and am proud of the fact that I did that while keeping OES open for one of them.

In other news, I will be leaving in the second week of June to work at a summer camp (which I attended for 8 years as a camper) through the middle of August, so get your orders in today to ensure that I will be able to get to attend to them before I leave. Thanks again for everyone's support and interest!!!

Also, I would love to make an appearance next spring at Trail Days, but that is a long ways off from now.

4/9/07

I have completed a large batch of tarps, and am currently taking pre orders for my next large batch. I will be arriving home in Mid May, and at that point I will be able to dedicate much more of my time to getting tarps manufactured and shipped. School is going great (although it is a lot of work), and I want to thank everyone for their patience.

12/26/06

I am open for business once again! I have had a very successful semester at UR, and I am now again accepting orders for tarps!

12/15/06:

The official reopening of OutdoorEquipmentSupplier.com will be on January 1st, 2007! I will be opening up the site for pre-orders on December 26th, with the first products shipping on the 2nd. I am nearly done with my first semester (finals are approaching this week) at UR. Thank you very much for your patience, and I look forward to hearing from all of you! OES

11/18/06

Just a quick update on my status. Classes are going smoothly and I am enjoying the many different and diverse activities offered at UR. I have gotten lots of questions and requests for tarps; I am trying to get answers out in a timely fashion. Please feel free to add your email address to my mailing list via the above form! Thanks again for looking! OES

Hello visitor, I am currently attending the University of Rochester, and I would like to announce that I will not be conducting any business during my first semester up at school as OutdoorEquipmentSupplier.

I am currently taking a break from designing and sewing and concentrate on school work and getting oriented up at school. Beginning sometime around the New Year, I will begin again accepting and shipping out orders as before, and hopefully continue uninterrupted into the unknown future (at least a few years).

Please realize that I am not closing permanently, just for the first semester. I will continue to keep my website up to date and offer email support to anyone who needs it.

I want to thank everyone for their kind support and comments, and I hope to be back in the business soon!

I have decided to temporarily close down operations in order to concentrate on my first semester up at school. Take a look up at the main page for more information.

8/6/06

I have returned from my vacation, and I have three weeks to fill any custom orders before I travel up to school. Once there, it will be in-stock items only for a few months.

7/10/06

I am leaving for a nice long vacation tomorrow, and I will not be able to view or reply to any emails while I am out. Don't let that stop you from asking questions or send in orders, I just won't be able to reply to them for a week or two.

6/7/06

Soon out will be an option for my MacCat tarps, guyline pockets!

5/6/06

I have done a revamp of several pages, most noticeably the MacCat page and several others,  including adding my decision to attend the University of Rochester beginning in the Fall of 2006.

3/05/06

The MacCat Generation 3 is out! These tarps now feature lighter tieouts, improved perimeter reinforcement, and lighter seam sealing. This new generation is an evolution coming from months of thought and practice in working and experimenting with silnylon. The newest generation of MacCat tarps is a piece of gear you would be proud to use in the backcountry. What's next for the MacCat series? A 5.5oz model. Stay tuned.

11/26/05

I have accumulated so many happy user testimonials, that I finally had to make a separate "Reviews" page, located in the menu bar above!

9/5/05

The new MacCat Micro has officially been released! 7.4oz and no seam makes it the lightest available silnylon hammock fly available.

5 MacCat Deluxes sold in 2 days...I believe that is a new record. I am going to have to spend more time at the sewing machine so I can keep a stock of tarps!

7/16/05

I just returned from my weeklong trek, and it was nice to be able to use one of my tarps somewhere other than somewhere locally!

6\20\05

Finals are finally done (no pun intended), and I am getting through orders quickly. What was once a 5 week backorder is now only 2-3 weeks, and I am getting more than enough orders to keep my busy.

5\17\05

I am now in my new home, and AP Exams are finished, and it sure is nice to be able to sit back and relax (and start working again)! Thank you all for your patience and consideration in waiting for your orders to go through.

3\24\05

Spring vacation is finally here, and I will be adding a bio section and getting updated pictures and menu's for all of the sub pages.

1\14\05

Another major site overhaul will take place this weekend, finally really getting things up to speed and everything done and posted.

11/21/04

I am continually updating the site, and it is almost done with all of my new products. I have also added a listing of my current in stock products!

10/08/04

This website is new! I have just returned from a 3 week bike tour of Nova Scotia, and this website has been a plan in the making. It has finally materialized and my products can be seen in greater detail than ever before. I have refined my new Bear Bagging kit, as well as a new ordering system. Hopefully the new website can help to keep my thoughts and new ideas on gear more organized and up  -to - date.
